About the Role
Grand Hyatt Kauai is looking for a Rooms Controller to help manage room inventory and reservations in a busy hospitality setting. This position is central to keeping occupancy high, supporting revenue goals, and making sure guests receive a smooth and well-coordinated stay. The role works closely with front office, housekeeping, and sales teams to track room availability, balance assignments, and keep room placement running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day room inventory and room allocation to support strong occupancy and revenue performance.
- Partner with the front desk and housekeeping teams to keep room statuses accurate and ensure rooms are ready on time.
- Apply and maintain room control procedures that improve room assignment planning and reduce overbooking or unused rooms.
- Review daily reports used to support room assignment decisions.
- Handle room assignment or accommodation issues quickly, professionally, and with attention to guest satisfaction.
- Take on other duties assigned by management as needed.
Compensation
The 90-day probationary pay rate is $29.11 per hour, and the regular hourly rate is $34.25.
