Job description
Mission
Circus, based in Munich, is working on a new generation of autonomous food production. The company combines robotics and AI to handle the full journey from creation and production to day-to-day operation, aiming to transform how food is produced and experienced.
The team is building on major advances in robotics powered by artificial intelligence, which are seen as the missing piece needed for truly autonomous food automation. The goal is to create a new standard in a sector that touches everyday life, much like autonomous driving has reshaped thinking in other areas.
Bringing together specialists from robotics, AI, engineering, and culinary fields, Circus works closely with leading partners to change how food service operates and to create a different future for food.
Role overview
The Munich headquarters is the place where Circus develops its autonomous food-production future and hosts partners, investors, and customers. This position is responsible for shaping that experience.
As Front-Office & Operations Manager, you will be the operational core of the office and showroom. You will be the first point of contact for visitors, keep coordination running efficiently, and support the demos and presentations that help build interest and progress discussions.
This is an on-site position with direct influence on office operations, showroom management, and coordination with external stakeholders. Both part-time and full-time arrangements are possible.
Key responsibilities
- Receive and support visitors and guests, manage access, and make sure every person is welcomed in a polished and friendly manner.
- Oversee incoming mail, parcels, and invoices, including sorting, matching, and directing documents to the right place.
- Organize meeting rooms and maintain scheduling across the Munich headquarters.
- Assist with office and operations tasks, including coordination with vendors, service partners, facilities, and general workplace flow.
- Manage incoming calls and other communications in a clear and professional way.
- Prepare the showroom and coordinate logistics for demonstrations and product presentations.
- Handle projects and ad hoc operational assignments in addition to ongoing daily duties.
Requirements
- You bring at least 2 years of experience in front office, office administration, reception, or guest-facing roles.
- You speak and write German and English fluently, with C1 level or higher in both languages.
- You are comfortable working with MS Office and/or Google Workspace.
- You have enough technical confidence to help coordinate demos and showroom activities in a robotics setting.
- You communicate clearly, remain composed in all interactions, and bring a professional, service-oriented approach.
- You are well organized, able to juggle multiple tasks, and capable of working on your own.
Preferred background
- Knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
- Experience in a startup, technology, or showroom environment is valued.
- A background in events, hospitality, or customer experience is also helpful.
Benefits
- Personal development support, including a training budget, internal learning options, and growth opportunities in a fast-moving environment.
- The chance to contribute to a team reshaping how food is produced and experienced from the company headquarters.
- Monthly support for mobility or other expenses, plus a subsidized mobility subscription for e-bike and e-moped use.
- Access to discounted Urban Sports Club membership and Wellhub offerings focused on well-being.
Additional information
This role is available as either part-time or full-time and is based on-site in Munich. The position includes work connected to office operations, showroom readiness, and stakeholder-facing coordination. The posting also indicates that there are further offer details beyond the listed benefits.
