Job description

Role overview

This full-time front desk role is based in Singapore and sits within Rooms & Guest Services Operations. The position is non-management and is not remote.

What you will do

  • Handle guest arrivals and departures, including check-ins, check-outs, room allocations, room changes, and late check-out requests.
  • Process payments securely, issue or replace room keys, and make sure room rates align with the correct market codes while recording any exceptions.
  • Review and update guest billing as needed.
  • Coordinate with other teams when guests are waiting for rooms and keep housekeeping informed about room readiness and guest issues.
  • Manage guest messages, paperwork, and documentation, and operate the telephone switchboard.
  • Run daily operational reports, contingency lists, and credit card authorization reports.
  • Provide guests with directions, information, and support for calls, questions, requests, and complaints, then follow up until concerns are resolved.
  • Arrange transportation for guests and visitors when needed.
  • Count and secure the cash bank at the start and end of each shift.
  • Accept and process checks, vouchers, cash-outs, charges, all payment types, and any change due.
  • Inform Loss Prevention or Security about any theft-related reports.
  • Follow company procedures, report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions, keep your appearance professional, protect confidential information, and safeguard company assets.
  • Greet guests warmly, anticipate service needs, assist guests with disabilities, and thank guests sincerely.
  • Use clear, professional communication and proper telephone etiquette.
  • Build positive relationships with colleagues, support team goals, and respond appropriately to employee concerns.
  • Meet quality assurance expectations and carry out other duties assigned by supervisors.

Candidate profile

The preferred education level is a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. No previous related work experience is required, and no supervisory background or certification is needed.
