Job description

Role Overview

Rose Rayhaan by Rotana in Dubai is seeking a motivated front office professional to join the team as a Front Desk Agent. The role calls for someone who delivers polished, guest-centric service and helps create a smooth, memorable stay from check-in through departure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Offer fast, polite and efficient assistance to every guest, with a personalized approach that supports strong guest satisfaction throughout the stay.
  • Welcome guests by name whenever possible and accompany them to their room so they feel expected and well received.
  • Provide room and property orientation and support guests with questions or requests related to hotel activities.
  • Stay current on hotel details and nearby services, including operating hours, offers, events, attractions and other relevant information needed to answer guest enquiries.
  • Keep track of daily selling rates and occupancy trends.
  • Follow front desk cash handling standards accurately and comply with all applicable systems, policies and procedures.
  • Handle guest accounts from arrival to departure and ensure all incidental charges are posted correctly using computerized front office systems.
  • Protect guest confidentiality by ensuring no personal details are disclosed.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of hotel policies, procedures, service standards, facilities and ongoing hotel happenings.

Skills and Competencies

The ideal candidate should be guest-focused, energetic and self-driven, with a confident and approachable manner. Success in this role also depends on staying calm under pressure, working effectively in a busy environment, and contributing positively to a multicultural team.

Education and Experience

A hospitality degree is preferred, along with prior experience in the Front Office department of a hotel. Strong written and spoken English is required, and knowledge of an additional language is important. Experience with Opera is an advantage, and the role requires solid computer literacy, interpersonal skills and the ability to solve problems effectively.
