About ProPharma

ProPharma has spent more than 25 years helping improve patient health and wellbeing by advising biotech, medical device, and pharmaceutical companies. Its work supports clients across the full product lifecycle through an advise-build-operate approach. The company brings together expertise in regulatory sciences, clinical research, quality and compliance, pharmacovigilance, medical information, and R&D technology to deliver flexible consulting services that help lower risk and speed up important drug and device programmes.

Role overview

This opportunity is suited to a graduate with a background in life sciences, nursing, or medicine who has a strong commitment to patient safety. It sits within a global, multicultural medical information team and offers scope for career growth, rapid progression, and ongoing professional development. The role requires confident communication in both French and English by phone and email.

What medical information means at ProPharma

With over 25 years of experience in medical information services, ProPharma provides essential product-related information to healthcare professionals, patients, and the wider public. The team includes experienced healthcare professionals and life sciences graduates who help share clinical and scientific information about medicines and devices, along with product safety information. This function plays an important part in ensuring healthcare products are used safely and effectively while also helping clients meet regulatory obligations. The company uses modern technology and 24/7/365 contact centres to deliver these services.

Key responsibilities

  • Handle medical and safety-related questions from healthcare professionals, patients, and consumers through phone, email, and web-based channels.
  • Use approved product materials, scientific publications, and internal resources to give accurate and easy-to-understand answers.
  • Record and escalate adverse events, complaints, and other safety issues in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Enter all enquiries into internal systems promptly, clearly, and compliantly.
  • Help maintain service quality by checking medical enquiries and safety reports.
  • Draft bespoke medical responses when required, using client-approved information sources.
  • Support new colleagues through informal guidance or mentoring as you grow in the position.
  • Contribute ideas for improving workflows and updating internal procedures.
  • Take part in occasional after-hours cover on a rotating basis depending on business needs.

Candidate profile

  • A degree in life sciences or another healthcare-related discipline.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Interest in drug safety, medical information, or regulatory affairs.
  • A proactive approach and eagerness to learn.
  • Fluency at C1 level in both French and English, spoken and written.

What the company offers

  • Strong internal career progression, with more than 95% of Medical Information leadership roles filled from within.
  • Remote working flexibility, supported by a workforce where over 85% already work from home.
  • Comprehensive onboarding and training, including access to an internal training team and development in leadership, management, and industry knowledge.
  • Performance-based pay, an annual bonus, and a benefits package that includes health and wellbeing support, a contributory pension scheme, enhanced maternity leave, and more.

Application process

Applicants are asked to submit a CV, any supporting documents, and a few short questions. The application flow is designed to take under 5 minutes.

  • Applications are carefully reviewed, but if no response is received within 14 days, the application should be considered unsuccessful.
  • Automated updates may be sent after submission.
  • The selection process includes a Teams audio screening with a recruiter, an online assessment, and a formal video interview with a hiring manager.
  • The full hiring process, including assessment and interviews, can take 3 to 6 weeks, with a typical response time of 2 to 3 weeks.

Culture and workplace approach

ProPharma says it values diversity, equity, and inclusion and aims to create a workplace where people can be themselves. The company promotes an innovative, collaborative, and entrepreneurial culture and works as an equal opportunity employer.

All applications are reviewed manually by the recruitment team, without AI screening tools, and every applicant receives an outcome. While remote working is supported, candidates located near an office may be encouraged to work in a hybrid pattern and spend some time onsite when agreed with their manager. Proximity to an office will not create any advantage or disadvantage in the process.
