Job description
About the role
This position focuses on brokerage support within import clearance operations. You will help manage the clearance process for import shipments, coordinate between consignees, brokers, and internal stakeholders, and make sure cargo moves through customs on schedule and in line with applicable regulations. The role reports to the Brokerage Supervisor.

Responsibilities
- Oversee the clearance and tracking of air shipments, including formal/consumption entries and standalone brokerage cases.
- Support back-up clearance work for ocean formal shipments and PEZA/FTZ cargo, as well as air shipments.
- Respond to internal and external queries related to shipment clearance and customs rules and regulations.
- Review cargo inventory records to identify and monitor brokerage-related shipments.
- Prepare and submit brokerage reports such as the bundled report, OMR, and OTR.
- Compile and monitor internal reporting, including OSRE monitoring reports.
- Track broker compliance for submissions such as shipment control logs, KPI reports, and daily volume reports.
- Assist in checking KPI details, findings, and results.
- Support internal, compliance, and vendor audits, including IRCA, compliance audits, and vendor audits.
- Help ensure brokers comply with MOPs, reporting requirements, licenses, and training obligations.
- Verify broker billing and confirm whether the charges have been billed to the correct customer.
- Prepare and share quotations and RFQs for brokerage services.
Requirements
- Experience handling brokerage or customs clearance operations is needed.
- Good understanding of customs rules, compliance requirements, and shipment documentation.
- Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and manage time-sensitive shipment issues.
- Strong reporting, validation, and auditing support skills.
- Careful attention to detail when reviewing billing, inventory, and compliance records.
- Comfort working with operational reports, logs, and KPI tracking.
