About the Role
As a Freight Forwarder for International Road Transport based in Lahr, you will take charge of managing European land freight operations, skillfully negotiating prices, and ensuring smooth logistical processes. Join a dynamic team at a global transport and logistics leader and bring your expertise to optimize freight forwarding tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate partial and full truckload shipments across European land transport.
- Manage and allocate loads for the company's own fleet.
- Engage in daily price negotiations with carriers and partner companies.
- Calculate freight space requirements accurately.
- Prepare customer quotations based on daily rates.
- Ensure seamless dispatch procedures and address any customer complaints relating to shipments.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Completed training as a logistics services merchant or freight forwarding clerk.
- Professional experience in land transport dispatch.
- Fluent in German and good command of English; additional languages considered advantageous.
- Proficient with standard MS Office applications.
- Strong teamwork skills, resilience, communication ability, and negotiation talent.
