Freelance WhatsApp AI Booking Assistant Developer / Boutique Team - Phase 1

Overview

Sky Blue Group, through the DialEase initiative, is seeking a freelance developer or a compact product team to deliver Phase 1 of a production-ready WhatsApp-based AI booking assistant. The work is fully remote, with preference for candidates who have experience working in the UAE or wider GCC region.

What the assistant should do

• Serve as the main WhatsApp contact point for routine service requests
• Engage users in natural conversation to qualify leads and gather booking information
• Integrate with 5 to 6 aggregator platforms, such as Deliveroo, OpenTable, Zenoti, Foodics, and Booksy
• Place and confirm bookings through API connections
• Use fallback logic so users are never left with a message stating there are no vendors available
• Handle reminders, follow up after service completion, and collect customer satisfaction feedback
• Record the source of every conversation for attribution purposes
• Include a lightweight admin dashboard for operations tracking and monitoring

Preferred technology and delivery expectations

• Experience with WhatsApp Business API providers such as Wati, 360dialog, Twilio, or equivalent tools
• Backend development using Python with FastAPI or Node.js with NestJS
• Work with PostgreSQL or a comparable relational database
• Use LLMs such as OpenAI GPT-4o-mini or similar models for natural language understanding
• Proven ability to integrate with multiple external aggregator APIs
• Strong practices around logging, monitoring, security, and high availability, with a 99.5% uptime target
• Ability to hand over full source code, provide deployment instructions, and support defect fixes for 4 weeks after launch
