About Mindrift and the Role

Mindrift connects industry experts with cutting-edge AI technology projects to co-develop innovative solutions. We are currently recruiting a skilled freelance Web Designer for the Tendem project to craft polished, brand-aligned web designs for real-world applications. This part-time, remote position is ideal for creative professionals experienced in UI/web design, marketing-focused pages, and digital communication visuals.

Responsibilities

  • Create high-impact marketing one-pagers, landing pages, and simple websites based on textual materials, outlines, or preliminary drafts.
  • Adapt brand visuals and social media graphics into responsive web layouts and component sections that developers or no-code tools can implement effortlessly.
  • Organize and deliver production-ready design files, including arranging Figma frames, exporting assets, and providing detailed specifications for smooth handoff.
  • Maintain visual consistency across interactive web pages, static documents, and social media content.
  • Implement rigorous quality checks for layout, responsiveness, spacing, clarity, and adherence to current web design trends before delivery.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Recommended minimum of 2 years relevant experience in web/UI design, digital marketing design, or visual communications.
  • Formal education such as a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Web Design, Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related creative/technical fields is advantageous.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing landing pages, marketing websites, and product or startup one-pagers with clear visual hierarchy and typography is essential.

Technical Skills

  • Expert use of Figma for responsive web design, auto-layouts, and scalable design systems.
  • Proficiency in designing conversion-focused, persuasive landing pages using modern aesthetics.
  • Thorough knowledge of preparing, specifying, and packaging digital assets for smooth developer or no-code integration (e.g., with Webflow, Framer).
  • Capability to ensure cross-platform brand visual uniformity across websites, social media, and pitch materials.

Additional Requirements

  • Approach design with a strong user-focus and emphasis on conversion optimization.
  • Keen attention to clarity, ample white space, and contemporary web layouts.
  • Ability to work independently with a proactive and problem-solving mindset, delivering finished assets swiftly.
  • Proficient in English (minimum B2 level).
  • Submission must include a portfolio link demonstrating relevant web design work; applications without it or lacking appropriate examples will not be considered.

Workload and Compensation

The role involves an estimated 10 to 20 hours per week during active project phases, though this varies by project demands. Compensation can reach up to $50 per hour based on expertise and pace. Rates vary by project complexity and specific needs.
