Job description
Position Overview
Starting the new school year on August 24, 2026, the Destiny Diversity Academy seeks a freelance teacher (w/m/d) to teach German/Communication as an interdisciplinary subject at our vocational school for social assistance. Instruction will take place onsite in Berlin-Gesundbrunnen and will focus on a first-semester social assistance training class.
Teaching Schedule
Classes are held once weekly during the morning block, comprising 4 instructional units of 45 minutes each between 08:50 and 12:05. Applicants should specify their available weekdays for teaching during the application process.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and follow up on lessons in German/Communication based on the Berlin framework curriculum for social assistance vocational schools.
- Deliver lessons to students in the social assistance training program.
- Assess and grade student performance.
- Participate in grading conferences and team meetings.
- Maintain records of attendance and lesson topics in the digital class book.
Candidate Profile
- Possess or currently pursuing a diploma, magister, or master’s degree in one of the following areas: German teaching, language pedagogy, German studies, literary studies, linguistics, or related fields with proof of pedagogical qualification.
- Preferably have teaching experience relevant to the role.
- Exhibit strong professional and social skills.
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently, showing high initiative and responsibility.
