Job description
About Dandylion
Dandylion develops premium essentials for dog coat, skin, and paw care, using a gentle approach centered on skin health. The brand is built for modern dog parents who want products created with the same care standards people expect for themselves.
Role Overview
Dandylion is hiring a freelance Social Media Coordinator who is highly active online, loves dogs, and can balance planning, content creation, and execution. This position is suited to someone who can spot trends early, turn ideas into engaging short-form content, and manage social output from concept through posting.
The role is remote or hybrid, offered as a freelance/contract arrangement, and expected to take about 15–30 hours each week.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate new social content concepts each week that support launches, campaigns, education, and community engagement.
- Produce photo and video content designed specifically for Instagram and TikTok.
- Feature your own dog alongside Dandylion products in content that feels natural and relatable.
- Edit short-form videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and paid social placements.
- Film product shots, lifestyle scenes, behind-the-scenes moments, dogs, and team-related content for organic channels.
- Create graphics and carousel-style posts.
- Manage the content calendar, including scheduling and publishing across Instagram and TikTok.
- Track social trends while keeping all content aligned with the brand voice and image.
- Work closely with the Creative Director and Marketing Team.
- Organize and maintain a growing library of photo and video assets.
Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate has a strong visual sense, an instinct for storytelling, and a clear understanding of what feels native to social platforms. They should be comfortable editing short-form video, designing graphics, writing strong captions and hooks, and repurposing content into multiple formats. Familiarity with content performance and organic engagement is important, as is the ability to create authentic social-first content featuring a dog.
Bonus Experience
Additional experience that would be useful includes working with consumer brands, making content for paid ads, producing UGC-style videos, styling products for social content, and creating for pet, beauty, skincare, or lifestyle brands.
What Makes a Strong Fit
This opportunity may suit someone who is a dog parent, keeps up with emerging social trends, enjoys analyzing why content performs well, can work independently in a fast-moving startup setting, and regularly takes initiative by bringing fresh ideas forward.

Applicants should email hiring@dandylionworld.com with the subject line “Dandylion Freelance Social Media Coordinator.” Include a portfolio or examples of social media work, links to TikTok or Instagram accounts you have managed or created, a few videos you are especially proud of, a brief note explaining why you want to help grow the Dandylion brand, and some information about your dog or dogs, along with photos or links to content featuring them.
The team wants to review the quality of photo and video work, editing style, creative thinking, and storytelling ability.
