Overview

Camak Media seeks a reliable and versatile freelance professional skilled in photography, videography, and drone operation to support overflow assignments across Greater Boston and nearby regions. This role is not salaried or on a fixed schedule but involves per-project contracts of varying length and scope.

Primary Duties

  • Capture high-quality photos for conferences, corporate functions, interviews, real estate listings, and various client projects.
  • Film polished video content, including b-roll and interviews.
  • Operate drones for professional aerial photography and videography tasks.
  • Produce HDR-bracketed interior and exterior real estate photographs.
  • Create 360-degree panoramic images as needed.
  • Follow Camak Media’s shot lists, technical guidelines, and creative directions meticulously.
  • Manage lighting and audio setups for shoots when required.
  • Attend assignments punctually and maintain a professional demeanor representing the company onsite.
  • Work independently while maintaining clear communication throughout assignments.
  • Organize, backup, and upload all media to meet deadlines.
  • Safeguard client confidentiality and handle media responsibly.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven professional experience in photography and videography.
  • Background in real estate photography and event coverage including conferences and corporate events.
  • Strong expertise in composition, exposure, lighting, focusing, and audio capture.
  • Experience with HDR-bracketed images.
  • Current FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate for drone operation.
  • Commercial general liability insurance and drone/aviation liability insurance each with a minimum $1 million coverage per occurrence.
  • Demonstrated portfolio showcasing photography, video, real estate, and aerial work.
  • Own and use a reliable personal vehicle to travel to job sites.
  • Strong self-motivation, excellent organizational skills, and ability to work without supervision.
  • Ability to follow detailed workflows and consistently produce quality results.
  • Flexible availability including weekdays, some evenings, and weekends.

Essential Equipment

  • Professional drone with multiple batteries.
  • At least two professional mirrorless cameras.
  • Wide-angle and additional lens options.
  • Sturdy tripod and external flash unit.
  • Camera gimbal system.
  • Basic professional audio equipment.
  • Portable lighting for shoot setups.
  • Spare batteries, high-capacity memory cards, and backup gear.
  • Reliable computer system and internet connection for transferring large media files.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience creating 360-degree virtual tours with fisheye lens and panoramic head.
  • Ownership of a panoramic head is advantageous but not mandatory as Camak Media can supply it when needed.

Compensation and Application Details

Payment is per assignment, adjusted for factors such as location, duration, complexity, and deliverables. Rates will be clearly communicated and agreed upon before acceptance.

Applicants must submit a relevant portfolio, equipment list, general availability, home base location and travel radius, proof of FAA Part 107 certification, drone insurance details, and standard hourly, half-day, and full-day pricing.
