Visit.org is seeking a dedicated and proactive Freelance Event Specialist based in Singapore to oversee the logistical execution of live in-person events. This role demands someone with prior corporate event management experience, a strong entrepreneurial mindset, and enthusiasm for fostering social impact through immersive team experiences. The Specialist will act as the onsite lead, working in a dynamic startup environment to ensure smooth, engaging, and impactful events.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate in virtual planning meetings involving corporate and nonprofit partners as well as internal Visit.org teams.
- Lead on-site event activities from setup through teardown, ensuring seamless event flow and a superior guest experience.
- Coordinate and align tasks with onsite staff, partners, and volunteers to deliver cohesive event execution.
- Manage guest check-ins warmly and professionally, fostering a welcoming atmosphere for attendees.
- Act swiftly in resolving challenges such as supply shortages, staffing delays, or technical issues on event day.
- Maintain communication by providing real-time updates and media to the Events Team throughout events.
- Oversee post-event breakdown including cleaning, packing, and preparing materials for return shipment.
Candidate Requirements
- Fluency in English paired with excellent communication skills.
- Must be currently residing in Singapore and able to work onsite.
- Flexible schedule accommodating contract engagements on an event-by-event basis, including nights and weekends.
- Proven experience managing both large-scale complex events and smaller, executive-level functions at a high standard.
- Demonstrated ability to innovate and maintain composure under pressure, adopting multiple contingency plans.
- Self-motivated, organized, detail-focused, and adept at building strong relationships with clients and event attendees.
- Skilled in group facilitation and adept at handling group dynamics effectively.
- Physically capable of lifting and moving up to 30 lbs and standing for extensive durations.
- Open to travel within the local area to support events.
- Enjoys engaging with large groups, multitasking across various roles and responsibilities.
