Job description
Overview
Mindrift is hiring experienced frontend developers to work on the Tendem project, creating polished landing pages and multi-page websites in a hybrid setup where AI handles repetitive work and you focus on frontend quality, structure, and visual refinement. This freelance, part-time remote role is suited to professionals who have practical experience building landing pages, small websites, and modern frontend experiences using current frameworks.
In this position, you will act as an AI Pilot within Mindrift’s project model, partnering with Tendem Agents while you bring design judgment, frontend craftsmanship, and quality assurance to deliver websites that are responsive, conversion-oriented, and aligned with client briefs.
What the platform does
Mindrift connects subject-matter specialists with AI-focused projects from leading technology companies. Its goal is to help advance generative AI by bringing in expertise from real-world professionals around the world.
Role summary
This freelance assignment centers on creating, improving, and finalizing landing pages, waitlist pages, promotional pages, and compact multi-page sites such as portfolios, restaurant websites, small business sites, and simple online stores. The work involves turning written requirements into fast, responsive, well-structured web pages.
Responsibilities
- Create landing pages, waitlist pages, and promotional pages with strong hero sections, clear calls to action, and layouts built to convert.
- Develop small multi-page websites such as home, about, services, and contact pages in line with the client’s brief and basic site structure needs.
- Deliver responsive, mobile-first layouts that display correctly across different devices and browsers.
- Add forms, email capture, basic analytics tracking, and simple CMS or headless content integrations where needed.
- Apply essential on-page SEO practices, including semantic markup, metadata, performance, and accessibility, so the pages are ready for ranking and advertising use.
- Review AI-generated frontend work and improve the markup, styling, layout, and copy placement until it reaches production standards.
- Diagnose and fix layout, performance, and cross-browser issues without heavy supervision.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in frontend development, landing page production, or website development.
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Design, or a related area is considered an advantage.
- Strong understanding of modern frontend development, responsive design, and building high-quality landing pages and small websites.
- Ability to create polished, conversion-focused interfaces, work confidently with modern frontend frameworks, and improve AI-assisted output into production-ready pages.
- Solid skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, including Flexbox, Grid, and responsive design techniques.
- Practical experience with at least one modern frontend framework such as React, Next.js, Vue, Astro, or a similar option.
- Exposure to utility-first CSS tools like Tailwind or modern component libraries.
- Ability to turn Figma designs or written briefs into clear, maintainable code.
- Familiarity with forms, email capture tools, and basic analytics setups such as GA4 or Plausible.
- Working knowledge of on-page SEO, accessibility basics aligned with WCAG, and Core Web Vitals.
- Comfort with simple CMS platforms or headless content tools such as Webflow, Framer, Sanity, or Contentful is a plus.
- Strong visual judgment and attention to detail so pages feel intentional rather than generic.
- Self-managed working style with the ability to complete pages independently and with minimal oversight.
- A portfolio showing shipped landing pages and/or small websites.
- English proficiency at upper-intermediate level (B2) or higher.
Workload and compensation
During active phases, the expected commitment is around 10 to 20 hours per week. This is only an estimate and not a fixed workload; it applies when the project is active.
Contributors can earn up to the equivalent of $60 per hour for this project, depending on experience level and pace of work. Pay can differ across projects based on scope, complexity, and expertise requirements.
Why this role may be a good fit
- Work remotely on your own schedule using only a laptop and a reliable internet connection.
- Build experience in a hybrid environment where human expertise and AI agents work together.
- Take part in performance-based bonus programs that recognize quality output and consistent delivery.
