Freelance Color Retoucher

Role Overview

SET Active is looking for a freelance color retoucher based in Beverly Hills, CA to partner with the Creative Manager on polished retouching work across e-commerce, marketing, and social media assets. This role calls for someone who can move quickly, stay highly detail-focused, and keep the brand’s visual style consistent across different channels and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

The contractor will handle day-to-day retouching work, support special image edits as approved by the Creative Manager, and collaborate with the wider creative team when needed. The work may include direct execution in-house as well as coordination with overseas retouching partners depending on project scope and timing.

• Retouch ghost mannequin product images, including color correction and communication with photography partners when required.
• Complete campaign image retouching in-house.
• Handle supplemental image retouching either directly or through overseas partners based on the size and deadline of the assignment.
• Manage e-commerce image retouching directly or through overseas retouching support as needed.
• Preserve fabric texture while adjusting color accuracy across campaign, e-commerce, and supplemental visuals.
• Maintain retouching standards that reflect SET Active’s brand guidelines.
• Lead the color correction workflow for ghost imagery and incorporate internal feedback and approvals.
• Keep color treatment aligned across ghost, campaign, e-commerce, and supplemental assets.
• Create color reference files and visual guides for overseas retouching partners to support consistent output.
• Coordinate work between in-house retouching and overseas teams.
• Prepare and share retouching notes, reference assets, and visual direction.
• Review retouched files for quality and work with the Creative Manager on approvals or needed changes.
• Manage revision cycles and partner communication in coordination with the Creative Manager.
• Support the creation of a scalable retouching process for SET Active.
• Help improve post-production speed, file organization, and overall asset management.
• Assist the Creative Manager in preparing final retouched assets for marketing launches and campaign releases.
