Role overview
This opportunity is for a creative art director to help shape the visual world of an independent music artist. The work centers on building an immersive, cinematic, and dreamlike identity that reflects the artist’s introspective sound, emotional depth, and storytelling style.
You will act as a long-term creative partner, translating music and artistic vision into a consistent visual language across digital touchpoints such as Instagram, TikTok, and Spotify. The aim is to develop a cohesive brand presence where imagery, narrative, and mood work together seamlessly.
Responsibilities
- Build and refine a unique visual identity that matches the artist’s emotional and musical themes.
- Develop ideas and creative directions for photo shoots, video pieces, and short-form digital content.
- Guide the execution of visual assets so that tone, palette, and storytelling remain consistent.
- Work collaboratively with the artist to grow and evolve the visual universe over time.
- Keep the visual style unified across platforms including Instagram, TikTok, and Spotify.
- Bring forward concepts that support immersive storytelling and stronger audience connection.
Requirements
- Background in art direction, creative direction, or visual branding, preferably in music or entertainment.
- A portfolio that shows the ability to create cohesive visual systems and cinematic aesthetics.
- Strong grasp of visual storytelling, mood-setting, and color theory.
- Experience leading content production for social and digital channels.
- Ability to turn abstract emotional or musical ideas into clear visual narratives.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with interest in an ongoing creative partnership.
- Awareness of modern trends in music branding and digital content.
- Comfort with remote, ongoing collaboration.
