Role Summary

Perle seeks freelance transcriptionists fluent in Albanian to join as remote contributors on a paid contract basis. The task involves transcribing audio recordings featuring two speakers, each on separate channels. The transcription must be clear, precise, and organized, including correct speaker labels and timestamps.

Key Responsibilities

• Listen attentively to two-speaker Albanian audio files.
• Accurately and fully transcribe the spoken content from both speakers.
• Label speaker turns consistently as Speaker 1 or Speaker 2 according to the respective audio channel.
• Insert timestamps marking the beginning of each speaker segment in HH:MM:SS format.
• Ensure transcripts follow the correct sequence without missing portions.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Native or near-native proficiency in spoken and written Albanian.
• Strong writing skills in Albanian, with correct spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
• Ability to work independently and achieve daily production goals.
• Possession of a computer with reliable internet access.
• Availability for a minimum of four hours daily.
• Prior experience in transcription is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Successful completion of a qualification exam is required before onboarding.

Quality Standards

• Maintain a Word Error Rate (WER) of 5% or less on all transcripts delivered.
• Accurate speaker labeling ensuring Speaker 1 corresponds to Channel 1 without errors.
• Receive regular feedback with a rolling review of submissions.
• Revisions are mandatory for transcripts that do not meet quality criteria.
