Role Overview

This position involves partnering with federal clients to develop analytic models that detect fraudulent activities for investigation and intervention. The role covers fraud monitoring, analytics, alerting, prevention, and communication with stakeholders to support program execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze data relating to new account creations and investigative findings to recognize fraud trends within the Login.gov ecosystem.
• Leverage analytics to shape program strategies, tune LexisNexis fraud policies, optimize team staffing, and guide technology acquisitions for combating evolving identity fraud.
• Work alongside Login.gov’s DevOps and SecOps teams to enhance data infrastructure and software for scalable and operational fraud analytics.
• Create and maintain fraud detection models addressing identity fraud, account takeovers, and synthetic identity fraud.
• Monitor analytics including identity/entity resolutions, social network analysis, and anomaly detection to trigger necessary interventions.
• Incorporate third-party data and tools to improve fraud detection continuously.
• Evaluate model performance regularly to adapt to changing fraud patterns.
• Support dashboard development to visualize key metrics and alert relevant teams and leadership.
• Perform fraud risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities, set risk parameters, and develop mitigation strategies.
• Design fraud response plans involving scaling procedures, scenario planning, response management, and readiness exercises.

Candidate Profile

• Experienced in fraud and identity operations.
• Proficient with Tableau, LexisNexis, SQL, and other data analytics tools.
• Knowledgeable in both relational and non-relational databases.
• Problem-solver with passion for detecting issues and devising effective solutions.
• Detail-focused with strong written and verbal communication, analytical aptitude, and organizational skills.
• Capable of working independently to deliver quality outcomes while aligned with team goals.
• Eager and able to learn and manage various data systems and investigatory software.
• Adaptable to shifting priorities, policies, and new tools.
• Excellent in prioritizing tasks and articulating complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences clearly.

Special Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder eligible for Public Trust clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
