Job description

About Ofload and the role

Ofload operates in FreightTech, a fast-moving sector focused on modernising freight in Australia. The market is large, valued at $76 billion, but it still relies heavily on manual processes and faces major inefficiencies, including trucks travelling empty around 30% of the time. The company uses technology, data, and partnerships to connect major customers with efficient transport operators, with the goal of improving visibility, reducing wasted kilometres, and making supply chains smarter and more sustainable. Ofload is also a certified B Corp and is committed to maintaining that certification through ongoing social and environmental performance.

This opportunity sits within a high-growth scaleup environment where people work closely together, share candid feedback, and contribute to meaningful change. The business has raised more than $100M from leading investors and has received several external recognitions for its culture, growth, and climate-focused innovation.

What you will do

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Sales, Operations, and other teams to build accurate forecasts and support financial planning.
  • Analyse financial performance across areas such as revenue, margin drivers, and operating expenditure control.
  • Spot trends, risks, and opportunities in the numbers and turn them into practical recommendations.
  • Improve budgeting, forecasting, and month-end reporting by working with the Financial Operations and Reporting team.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to fix data and process issues while helping create longer-term improvements.
  • Support automation efforts and strengthen FP&A tools and workflows to make reporting faster and more accurate.
  • Assist with investor, board, and internal monthly business reporting.

What the employer is looking for

  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Economics, Business, or a similar field.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in management accounting, FP&A, commercial finance, financial analysis, budgeting, or forecasting.
  • Strong ability in Excel, financial modelling, and data analysis.
  • Experience with BI platforms such as Tableau and ERP systems is an advantage.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to work with stakeholders at different levels.
  • A detail-focused, analytical approach with experience solving complex problems.
  • A commercial mindset with the ability to link financial data to business results.
  • A proactive, collaborative attitude and a willingness to learn and improve.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a changing environment.
