About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and commercially savvy Junior CTO to lead the technology efforts of a fintech startup based in Dubai. This role is designed for someone eager to take charge of the technological direction, working closely with founders and managing external IT vendors developing digital platforms, websites, and fintech products.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise external developers, technology suppliers, and platform collaborators.
- Translate business goals into specific technical deliverables.
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of company websites, digital platforms, dashboards, and third-party integrations.
- Evaluate project schedules, system designs, costs, and the performance of vendors.
- Coordinate integration with banks, credit bureaus, government entities, and other third-party service providers.
- Support the formulation and execution of technology strategies, cybersecurity initiatives, data protection protocols, and product roadmaps.
- Address and resolve practical challenges within the fintech and financial service sectors.
Candidate Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of experience in technology, product management, fintech, banking, or digital platforms.
- Sound knowledge of APIs, cloud computing, system architecture, cybersecurity, and software development life cycles.
- Proven ability to lead and manage software developers and hold technology vendors accountable.
- Well-organized, inquisitive, solutions-focused, comfortable working in the high-paced startup environment.
- Strong communication skills capable of bridging technical and non-technical teams.
- Motivated to contribute beyond routine work and excited to help build a groundbreaking fintech venture from scratch.
Additional Information
This is not a typical IT support role centered around constant coding. Instead, it is a leadership position aimed at owning the technical roadmap of the business. Candidates do not need to be the most experienced CTO but should be ambitious, responsible, and eager to develop alongside the growth of the company.
