Key Responsibilities

• Lead the complete product design lifecycle, including discovery, wireframing, prototyping, interaction design, final UI creation, and writing EPICs for engineering teams.
• Create AI-native interfaces featuring guided workflows, AI-generated content areas, AI output verification, and structured data views that simplify complex interactions.
• Collaborate intensively with customers, Customer Success, and Engineering teams.
• Partner with engineers during implementation phases, supporting with EPIC documentation, handoffs, and quality assurance.
• Develop and refine the information architecture and navigation as the product evolves.
• Transform product strategy and roadmap goals into actionable design solutions, proactively suggesting new directions.
• Build and maintain the Stackgini design system to ensure consistency and scalability.
• Conduct in-depth user research through interviews, contextual inquiries, and usability testing with real users regularly.
• Empathize deeply with user personas to fully understand their routine challenges and needs.
• Analyze user feedback beyond verbal data to synthesize insights and communicate findings clearly to the team.
• Identify unmet user needs and propose new features or product improvements.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of product design experience with a portfolio demonstrating work on B2B SaaS, enterprise tools, or workflow automation products.
• Proven proficiency across all stages of design, from user research and concept development through polished, production-ready UI design.
• Expert level skills in Figma, including creating and managing component libraries, auto-layout, and design systems.
• Strong AI-first mindset, leveraging AI tools to enhance workflows such as research synthesis, copywriting, prototyping, and ideation as a productivity multiplier.
• Practical experience with AI-assisted design and prototyping software like Lovable, Claude (Anthropic), Cursor, or Claude Code, enabling rapid iteration from concept to prototype.
• Demonstrated competency in designing human-AI interaction patterns, balancing AI-led outputs with human control and trust-building design strategies.
• Experience working in early-stage or zero-to-one product environments requiring decisions under uncertain conditions.
• Excellent interaction design sensibility, focusing on user flows rather than isolated screens.
• Fluency in English and professional working proficiency in German.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing compliance, risk management, or governance tools or other complex, information-rich B2B software.
• Understanding of enterprise IT landscapes, including IT4IT frameworks.
• Background in fast-paced startup environments or quickly evolving organizations.
• Knowledge of and commitment to accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA) and inclusive design principles.

Portfolio Requirements

Applicants should provide evidence of design work, such as a Dribbble profile, portfolio website, or media showing interfaces designed and implemented. Additionally, a short screen recording (2–5 minutes) demonstrating a project’s journey from problem definition to shipped product, highlighting key design decisions, is encouraged. Strong design portfolios can compensate for lack of prior B2B SaaS experience.
