Where you'll work
Job description
Role Overview
This opportunity is for a founding head brewer to help bring a new craft brewery to life in the Clearwater–St. Pete area. The brewery is close to opening, so the ideal candidate should be ready to begin quickly and contribute from the earliest stages of launch.
What the Role Involves
This is a very hands-on brewing position for someone who enjoys the full range of brewery work. You will be expected to work across brewing, cellar operations, sanitation, and production support while helping set up the brewery’s day-to-day standards and culture.
The role is suited to someone who is comfortable getting involved in practical tasks such as moving beer, running cleaning cycles, handling raw materials, and doing whatever is necessary to keep production moving smoothly.
Core Duties
- Contribute to recipe creation and beer development.
- Carry out brewing operations and support production from start to finish.
- Work in the cellar and assist with beer handling and transfer tasks.
- Perform quality control checks and uphold brewing standards.
- Help with production planning and brewery workflow setup.
- Carry out sanitation work, including CIP cycles.
- Handle physical brewery tasks such as moving kegs and grain bags.
- Operate equipment as needed, including a forklift.
- Support the launch process and help establish the brewery’s culture and operating standards.
Candidate Profile
The employer is seeking a brewer with professional experience in a production brewery who is equally comfortable in the brewhouse and cellar. A strong understanding of brewing science, sanitation, and quality control is important.
Applicants should be proactive, accountable, and comfortable taking ownership without repeated direction. A genuine interest in joining a brand-new brewery and helping build it from the ground up is essential.
Compensation
The starting salary is $90,000 per year, with the potential for a higher offer depending on experience and qualifications.
Application Note
Interested candidates should share a brief introduction, a resume, and relevant brewing experience directly with the employer.
