Role Overview
Kick is expanding its early go-to-market team for the accountant channel and is hiring a Founding Account Executive to manage the complete sales process with accounting firms and help create a scalable partner acquisition system.
What You Will Do
- Develop deep product knowledge and lead discovery conversations, product demonstrations, and deal closure with accounting firm owners and partners.
- Find and assess accounting firms through outbound outreach, events and conferences, referrals, and inbound interest.
- Collaborate with the CEO and Head of Growth to design and refine a repeatable acquisition approach for accountants.
- Monitor core performance indicators such as conversion rates, outreach results, and pipeline expansion.
- Oversee the accountant journey from the initial conversation through signed agreement and a smooth transition into onboarding.
- Represent the accountant perspective and share feedback with the product organization.
Candidate Profile
This position is best suited to someone with 3–5+ years of consistent success in quota-carrying sales roles and who is comfortable thriving in a fast-moving startup environment. The company is looking for someone with SaaS experience, strong ownership, and the ability to adapt quickly as priorities evolve.
Experience in full-cycle sales is important, and prior exposure to accounting firms is a plus. The ideal candidate also has strong written and spoken communication skills, confident presentation abilities, and the capability to deliver compelling product demos.
Bonus Qualifications
Additional advantage will be given to candidates with a background in accounting, bookkeeping, or financial services, as well as those who hold advanced credentials such as CPA, EA, or Tax LLM. Experience in partner-led or channel sales is also beneficial.
Compensation and Benefits
- On-target earnings for this role are CAD $200,000 to CAD $250,000.
