Job description
About the Role and Company
We are developing an AI platform dedicated to improving procurement processes. Procurement generally accounts for the largest expenditure in companies. The traditional tools available are outdated, managing widely dispersed data systems. Increasing cost pressures are pushing Chief Procurement Officers (CPOs) to innovate.
Our platform includes autonomous AI agents that handle negotiations, ensure contracted savings are realized to the bottom line, and infuse intelligence into mundane manual jobs. We dive deep into complex data, applying intelligence to fundamentally transform procurement economics beyond simple automated workflows. Our startup is backed by leading venture capitalists and angels, and our founders come from expertise in strategy consulting and scaling high-growth startups.
We are a close-knit founding team that values fun and speed, united by a commitment to tangible results.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a versatile associate, bridging technical expertise and customer engagement, fluidly shifting between discussions with CPOs and troubleshooting product issues.
- Convert engaging AI demonstrations into signed enterprise contracts by proving measurable value and ensuring excellent communication between customers and technical teams.
- Collaborate side-by-side with founders, taking ownership of both product and customer relations from early on, gaining firsthand experience in building an enterprise AI startup.
- Craft compelling, customized demos focused on prospects' authentic data and challenges, not generic presentations.
- Lead Proof of Value projects from start to finish—define success metrics with customers, maintain their engagement, diagnose issues, and help secure internal approval of business cases.
- Conduct comprehensive product discovery by preparing and conducting customer interviews, analyzing competitors, and distilling these insights into clear feature specifications for engineers.
- Identify customer pain points and bottlenecks using modern product management methods; communicate these through detailed briefs for solutions development.
Candidate Requirements
We do not expect perfection or rigid qualifications but value passion, curiosity, and a builder’s mindset.
- Essential:
- Strong motivation; thrives in uncertain environments and learns quickly; academic background is flexible.
- Customer-centric mindset with a natural ability to cultivate genuine client relationships.
- Technical understanding of language learning models (LLMs), including context limits, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and tool invocation; familiar with prompt engineering and adept at troubleshooting workflow failures through log analysis.
- Effective storyteller capable of simplifying complex concepts to convince skeptical audiences.
- AI-proficient; actively uses AI tools to enhance productivity, experiments often, and shares practical learnings.
- Preferred:
- Prior exposure to consulting, strategy, product management, or engineering roles is advantageous but not required.
Benefits and Opportunities
- Work directly alongside company founders with substantial involvement in decision-making and company operations.
- Immediate real-world impact and ownership, with demos, product features, and client engagements deployed early on.
- Accelerated learning curve offering insights into building an ambitious AI company spanning product, sales, and technology.
- Immersive experience with cutting-edge AI tools, gaining fluency in enterprise AI integration.
- Access to premium hardware and personally preferred productivity software, fully reimbursed.
- Flexible Munich-based hybrid working setup.
- Close mentorship from founders focused on your professional growth.
- Competitive internship pay with clear potential for full-time employment and fast-tracked leadership roles.
