Job description
About the role
Join an early-stage, newly funded cybersecurity and AI startup in Berlin that is building a next-generation security risk management platform. The company is led by experienced cybersecurity founders with backgrounds in Israeli intelligence units and is looking for a proactive Founder’s Associate / Executive Assistant to the CEO to help establish the operational backbone of the business.
This position is based in central Berlin near Potsdamer Platz and is described as a hybrid role. It can be arranged as either full-time or part-time. The right person will be energetic, highly organized, comfortable in fast-moving environments, and excited to build processes from the ground up while contributing directly to the CEO’s effectiveness and the company’s growth.
Core responsibilities
The role combines executive support with broad operational ownership across finance, HR, admin, growth, and internal coordination. You will work closely with the founder and leadership team on company-wide priorities and day-to-day execution.
- Serve as the main operational partner to the founder and CEO, helping the company grow from an early stage.
- Oversee daily operations across HR, finance, administration, and internal workflows.
- Take ownership of financial tracking, planning, reporting, and core metrics so they remain clear and reliable.
- Lead or coordinate strategic company initiatives such as building an AI-based pricing model or supporting expansion into additional markets.
- Support founder-level work including investor communication, board preparation, and important hiring decisions.
- Manage the CEO’s calendar, priorities, meetings, travel arrangements, and follow-up actions to keep execution focused.
- Assist with HR administration, including recruitment logistics, onboarding, offboarding, and people operations.
- Support finance tasks such as invoicing, expense monitoring, payments, and coordination with external accountants.
- Help with PR, communications, social channels, and external coordination with partners, vendors, event contacts, and announcement-related stakeholders.
- Prepare reports, documents, presentations, and other materials for sales, management, and key stakeholders.
- Maintain operational discipline, deadlines, and compliance across the business.
Required profile
The team is looking for someone who brings startup experience, strong execution, and the ability to work independently while handling several priorities at once. Fluency in both English and German is essential.
- At least 2 years of experience in a startup environment in areas such as HR, finance, operations, PR, sales, business support, or executive assistance.
- Strong organizational ability and a proactive, hands-on attitude with the capacity to manage several priorities independently.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Excellent written and spoken German.
- High discretion, reliability, and careful attention to detail.
- Ability to execute effectively in ambiguous situations and fast-changing conditions.
- Comfort working directly with founders and senior stakeholders.
- Confidence in building new processes and structures from scratch in an early-stage company.
- Strong ownership mindset, startup mentality, and willingness to move quickly.
- Prior exposure to startup or scale-up environments.
- Low-ego, high-commitment approach with a genuine startup attitude.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate well with others.
- Experience managing social media.
- Working knowledge of German employment basics or EU labor processes.
- Comfort with direct supervision and the ability to contribute to business discussions when needed.
Nice to have
- Prior experience supporting a CEO or senior executive in a fast-paced setting.
- Experience in founder-led or early-stage startups.
- Exposure to PR, communications, or employer branding.
- Design ability and familiarity with design tools.
- Knowledge of at least one additional language, preferably Russian or Hebrew.
- Experience with analytics.
- Sales background.
- Public speaking experience and confidence presenting to groups.
- Interest in rock or metal music.
Benefits

- Exposure to a cutting-edge domain covering identity security, SaaS-to-SaaS access, and AI agent governance.
- A steep learning curve across a wide range of operational topics.
- Strong growth potential, including the possibility to grow into leadership and eventually a Chief of Staff-type role.
