About the company

Cavenaugh Media is a digital marketing agency that supports home service businesses nationwide with paid media, SEO, website development, CRM builds, and AI automation. The team is already established and is now hiring a local assistant to provide direct support to the founder and help keep daily operations running smoothly.

Role overview

This position is a combined personal and executive support role for the founder. You will help manage the schedule, keep the inbox organized, and take care of smaller tasks so the founder can stay focused on high-priority work. The environment is steady and organized rather than fast-paced or high-pressure. Because part of the work involves in-person errands and local coordination, being based in the Dallas-Fort Worth area is important.

You will also coordinate with the Operations Manager and Client Success Manager, who handle more complex operational and client-facing responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain an organized calendar for the founder and send timely reminders before meetings.
  • Monitor the inbox by sorting messages, highlighting important items, and drafting responses when needed.
  • Keep track of follow-ups and action items so tasks are completed on time.
  • Arrange travel, event logistics, and trip bookings.
  • Take care of personal errands across the DFW area, including pickups, drop-offs, appointments, purchases, and other ad hoc requests.
  • Organize simple documents and notes so they remain easy to access.
  • Remain available during working hours via Slack, email, and text.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience in an assistant role or another position that requires strong organization and attention to detail.
  • Must be located in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and have a valid driver’s license plus a dependable vehicle.
  • Strong communication skills in both written and spoken English.
  • Consistent, dependable, and able to follow through without letting tasks slip.
  • Comfortable using common tools such as Google Workspace and Slack; additional systems will be taught as needed.
  • Responsible and discreet when handling personal or sensitive information.
  • Flexible, proactive, and capable of managing several priorities at once.

Additional information

This is a full-time position. The role is listed as in-person / hybrid, and local presence in DFW is required for errands and on-the-ground support. Experience supporting a founder or working in a marketing or agency environment is preferred but not mandatory.
