Role Overview

The Forward Deployed Software Engineer will collaborate closely with customers to understand and solve their most critical business challenges by designing, developing, and maintaining impactful software applications. This role requires building operational workflows tailored to enterprise data, enabling end users to drive meaningful change. The engineer will rapidly prototype and deliver solutions that help organizations transform operations with agility. Beyond coding, you will play a vital role in reshaping operational processes by putting powerful tools into the hands of users including executives and operators.

Key Responsibilities and Attributes

• Devote intense focus to customer success, going beyond initial scopes to deliver valuable, effective solutions.
• Employ strong analytical thinking to decompose complex problems and create robust end-to-end implementations.
• Develop software primarily using Python and/or TypeScript, which are standard languages on our stack.
• Work independently to take full ownership of project deliverables while collaborating with supportive teammates.
• Build production applications that manipulate large-scale structured and unstructured datasets to generate customer value.
• Leverage past experience delivering software or analytic products that have tangibly improved organizational outcomes.
• Collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders of varying technical backgrounds since the role involves embedding within client teams.
• Be prepared for client-related travel commitments typically ranging between 10% and 33% of time.
• Operate in a hybrid work setting with onsite presence expected at our London or New York offices and at customer sites.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science is advantageous.
• Experience working with Palantir Foundry and/or AIP platforms.
• Proficiency in deploying production machine learning or large language model-based applications.
• Experience building frontend applications using React.
• Knowledge of Spark and distributed computing techniques.
