Role Overview
This opening is for a Formulations AR&D professional based in Shameerpet, Hyderabad. The role calls for strong hands-on exposure to analytical and physicochemical characterization techniques, method development support, stability study execution, and day-to-day laboratory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Work directly with PXRD, DSC, PSD, DVS, TGA, HPLC, and dissolution equipment with practical familiarity.
- Interpret results generated from crystallographic and characterization tools such as PXRD, DSC, PSD, DVS, TGA, HPLC, dissolution apparatus, and disintegration testing.
- Carry out instrument calibration for PXRD, DSC, PSD, DVS, TGA, HPLC, analytical balances, and pH meters.
- Support analytical method development work linked to pre-formulation and formulation programs.
- Prepare stability study protocols and execute the related activities in line with defined procedures.
- Maintain equipment, facilities, and support systems according to approved good laboratory practices, SOPs, and lean tools.
- Record observations accurately using good documentation practices and Electronic Lab Notebook systems.
- Adapt to newer technologies and approaches and contribute to ongoing business improvement initiatives.
- Apply sound knowledge of chemical safety, risk assessment, and safe handling of drug substances.
- Handle NCEs, APIs, excipients, solvents, chemicals, and packaging materials in accordance with MSDS requirements.
- Draft and review SOPs as needed.
- Prepare, review, and execute operational qualification and performance qualification activities for equipment and instruments.
Technical and Functional Requirements
- Ability to design and interpret data from PXRD, modulated DSC, TGA, DVS, microscopy, HPLC, GC, FT-IR, NMR, dissolution, BET, and related characterization methods.
- Practical operation of laboratory instruments is preferred.
- Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving ability.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
