Job Overview
This role is based at the Augustana Campus in Camrose, Alberta, providing food services in person. It is a recurring position active for eight months annually from mid-August to April, with an inactive period from May to mid-August; casual hours may be available during the inactive months. The position involves variable hours including some weekends and early evenings to cover all meal services and offers the possibility of a Culinary Apprenticeship for qualified candidates.
Role Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and serving meals to over 300 individuals in a fast-paced dining hall environment.
- Collaborate efficiently with the Chef to follow established menus and recipes.
Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
- Preferably 2 to 3 years of experience in kitchen or food service roles.
- Food handling certification and safety training are advantageous.
- Physical capability to stand for extended durations, as well as bend and lift kitchen items regularly.
