Key duties

  • Handle food preparation tasks such as washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables.
  • Measure and portion ingredients accurately.
  • Move pans, kettles, and trays between work areas, ovens, and refrigerators while following safety guidelines.
  • Store food correctly using wrapping, dating, rotation, and food-safety practices.
  • Keep workstations, tools, and utensils clean.
  • Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment as needed.
  • Follow approved recipes and production standards to maintain quality, correct serving temperatures, and portion control.
  • Serve customers politely and efficiently using the established service process.
  • Address customer issues and pass important information to the supervisor.
  • Follow company rules for service standards, inventory handling, and cash control.
  • Maintain sanitation and safety compliance at all times.
  • Take on additional assigned tasks when needed.

Requirements

  • Prior culinary experience is required.
  • Ability to work a full-time schedule with varying days and hours.
  • Capacity to follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
  • Must be able to carry out the essential duties of the role with or without reasonable accommodation.
