This full-time, on-site Food Service Worker position supports a school cafeteria team in Slaughter, Louisiana. What you will do
- Prepare and portion food in line with recipes, production records, and food safety expectations.
- Serve meals to students, staff, and visitors in a courteous and professional way.
- Keep the kitchen, serving areas, and dining support spaces clean, orderly, and safe.
- Restock serving lines, salad bars, and milk coolers as needed.
- Handle food storage, stock rotation, and sanitation procedures correctly.
- Support delivery handling, inventory organization, and other back-of-house tasks.
- Sweep, mop, and remove trash when required.
- Follow all applicable local, state, federal, and company health and safety rules.
- Assist teammates, cover shifts when needed, and complete reports or other assigned paperwork on time.
- Take on additional tasks that help the kitchen team and school meal program run well.
Qualifications and work style
Experience in food service or cleaning is preferred, though this role can also suit someone with a strong work ethic who is willing to learn and work as part of a team. The position calls for comfort with routine tasks, basic math and computer use, and a respectful, inclusive approach with coworkers and customers. A background check and fingerprint screening are required, and reliable transportation is necessary. Physical and scheduling requirements

The schedule is full time, Monday through Friday, with occasional longer weeks. Participation in company events or meetings may also be expected.
