Role overview
The Upskilling Center at the University of Khorfakkan is seeking qualified Food Safety Trainers to partner on training delivery for Sharjah Public Health Programs. The assignment is focused on building capability in food safety and related public health practices for professionals working in food establishments.
Training focus
- Food safety fundamentals and applied practices
- Public health awareness in food-related environments
- Food hygiene and sanitation
- Good Hygiene Practices (GHP)
- HACCP principles and implementation
- Food handling, compliance, and regulatory awareness
- Training for food establishments, supervisors, and food handlers
Required qualifications and experience
- A relevant academic background in Food Safety, Public Health, Food Science, Environmental Health, Microbiology, Nutrition, or a closely related discipline.
- Professional credentials in Food Safety, HACCP, GHP, or Public Health.
- Prior hands-on experience conducting food safety or public health training sessions.
- Working knowledge of food safety rules and expectations in the UAE and Sharjah.
- Ability to conduct training in Arabic, English, Malayalam, Urdu, or Hindi.
- Approval as a trainer for Sharjah Public Health Programs or a similar municipal initiative will be viewed favorably.
