Food Manufacturing Operative - Equipment Operator

Role Overview

This position involves the operation, cleaning, and maintenance of manufacturing or packing machinery such as sterilisers, seamers, fillers, or packers for food products packaged in cans or pouches. The role demands compliance with strict hygiene, safety, and manufacturing standards within the processing environment.

Main Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain production equipment according to safety and quality standards.
• Ensure the cleanliness of lines and equipment, adhering to hygiene requirements.
• Follow company procedures and systems diligently.

Role Requirements

• Previous experience in food processing and knowledge of hygiene standards is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Competent numeracy and literacy skills to interpret instructions and data effectively.
• Demonstrable understanding of health & safety, food hygiene, and good manufacturing practices.
• Ability to learn and execute routine procedures accurately.
• Commitment to proactive compliance with training and supervision requirements.
