Food Counter Attendant

Job Overview

This is a full-time position at a fast-paced, urban location where you will perform a variety of duties to support food service operations. The role does not require any degree, certificate, or diploma, and no prior experience is necessary as training is provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness by clearing tables, trays, and chairs and loading buspans and trays.
• Accurately keep records of food quantities used and ensure proper packaging for take-out orders.
• Portion, wrap, prepare, heat, and complete simple food items efficiently.
• Provide customer service by taking orders and serving customers at counters or buffet tables.
• Operate manual and electric kitchen appliances for cleaning, peeling, slicing, and trimming food items.
• Sanitize kitchen areas including work surfaces, cupboards, storage spaces, appliances, and equipment.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

• Work is physically demanding and includes standing for long durations in a fast-moving environment.
• Tasks are repetitive and require the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Terms and Scheduling

• Permanent position with a work schedule of 30 to 40 hours per week.
• Flexible shift options include early morning, morning, day, evening, night, weekend, and possible overtime availability.
