Job description
Role Overview
This position sits within the food and beverage function at a luxury hospitality property in New Delhi. The role focuses on smooth daily service delivery, team coordination, guest satisfaction, and maintaining service standards in line with a premium hotel environment.
Key Duties
- Make sure the service team works in coordination so guests receive prompt and efficient service.
- Check staff grooming and attire and correct any gaps in presentation.
- Handle start-of-shift and end-of-shift tasks, including arranging supplies, preparing equipment, cleaning work areas, and securing doors.
- Review storage spaces for order, cleanliness, and proper stock rotation using FIFO practices.
- Carry out routine inventory checks and request needed supplies.
- Observe dining areas for seating readiness, guest safety, service flow, and guest well-being.
- Raise maintenance requests when repairs or fixes are needed.
- Support hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, performance review, coaching, counseling, and disciplinary actions.
- Act as a first point of contact for the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy process and set the expected example for the team.
- Follow company, safety, and security rules; report incidents, injuries, and unsafe situations to the manager; and complete required safety training and certifications.
- Maintain a neat, professional appearance and protect confidential and proprietary company information.
- Greet guests warmly, recognize their needs in advance, assist guests with disabilities, and express genuine appreciation.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and guests.
- Build positive working relationships and help the team achieve shared goals.
- Stay attentive to service quality, standards, efficiency, productivity, safety, and cost-saving improvements.
- Read and interpret information in different formats, including small print, and visually inspect tools and equipment for defects.
- Be able to stand, sit, or walk for long periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, reaching, and moving through confined or elevated spaces.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties assigned by supervisors.
Requirements
- High school diploma or an equivalent qualification such as G.E.D.
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
- No license or certification is required.
- Ability to work full time and meet the physical demands of the role.
