Overview

Adelaide Venue Management (AVM) is inviting energetic, guest-oriented people to join its Food & Beverage team during a busy events period. This opportunity covers work across four well-known venues and offers exposure to a wide variety of functions and occasions.

AVM is South Australia’s leading venue management organisation and operates Adelaide Convention Centre, Adelaide Entertainment Centre, Coopers Stadium, and event operations at The Drive.

Adelaide Convention Centre serves as South Australia’s key destination for business events and hosts international conferences, large-scale exhibitions, gala dinners, and major celebrations. The venue has been recognised at the 2025 Australian Business Event Awards, receiving awards for Australia’s Best Convention & Exhibition Centre, Venue Team of the Year, and Overall Best Team.

What the role involves

You will be part of a fast-moving hospitality environment where each shift may differ. Work can span conferences, gala dinners, exhibitions, sporting fixtures, concerts, and private celebrations, giving you the chance to deliver memorable guest experiences while building practical industry knowledge.

The position suits both seasoned hospitality workers and candidates who want to strengthen their skills in a supportive, team-based setting.

The ideal person is friendly, dependable, and comfortable providing high-quality service. You should enjoy interacting with guests, contributing to a team, and staying calm in busy event environments.

  • Food and beverage service capability or willingness to learn
  • Current South Australian RSA, or willingness to obtain one
