Food And Beverage Bartender

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Food and Beverage Bartender to join The Royal Albatross team in Singapore. This role involves preparing and serving a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks with professionalism while ensuring excellent guest experiences on board our sailing events.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve various beverages including cocktails, wines, spirits, beers in line with company standards.
• Recommend drink and wine pairings tailored to guest tastes.
• Provide warm, attentive, and professional service, addressing guest inquiries and resolving any issues efficiently.
• Set up and stock the bar with necessary supplies and maintain inventory control with minimal wastage.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and compliance with food safety and alcohol licensing regulations.
• Support the food and beverage team during busy periods and assist with event setup and breakdown.
• Collaborate with kitchen and service personnel to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements

• Prior bartending experience in hospitality settings such as restaurants, hotels, bars, cruises preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of cocktail preparation, wine, beer, spirit service.
• Strong customer service and communication skills in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Positive demeanor, professional appearance, and ability to work well within a team.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays with shifts scheduled around sailing times.
• Understanding of responsible alcohol service and basic food hygiene.

Skills

• Expertise in cocktail mixing and presentation techniques.
• Understanding of wine styles and pairing principles.
• Experience handling cash and point-of-sale systems.

Working Conditions

This role is onboard The Royal Albatross vessel during public cruises, private charters, weddings, corporate gatherings and special events. The position requires standing for long periods, lifting beverage supplies such as cartons and kegs, and working in variable weather and sea environments. Work schedule is flexible according to sailing operations.
