Job description
Overview
Hervey Bay RSL is seeking an energetic and experienced food and beverage attendant to support front-of-house operations at its busy club in Pialba on the Fraser Coast. The venue is a major employer in the area and offers a professional, welcoming workplace with ongoing development opportunities, regular casual hours and free on-site parking.
About the Club
The club is a leading entertainment destination in the region and continues to grow. Its facilities include 280 gaming machines, 4 bars, TAB and Keno, billiards and pool tables, a child care centre, a bottleshop, 3 function rooms, a 180-seat restaurant, a 160-seat deck and a 100-seat cafe. Team members are expected to deliver service with friendliness, professionalism and a positive attitude.
Role Summary
This casual position reports to the Restaurant Manager and is focused on keeping the servery and front-of-house areas running smoothly. The roster is weekly, with shifts that can begin in the morning and finish late at night. Work is required across days, nights, weekends, public holidays and split shifts.
Key Duties
- Prepare and close down servery areas at the start and end of shifts
- Serve meals and assist in the servery when needed
- Process transactions accurately through the register
- Follow RSA and RSG requirements at all times
- Support wastage reduction and stock control practices
- Work safely and follow workplace procedures
- Provide friendly, professional customer service
- Keep work areas clean and tidy
- Carry out general waiting duties
What We’re Looking For
The ideal applicant will bring hospitality experience, strong service skills and a bright, outgoing personality. You should be comfortable interacting with members, building long-term relationships and presenting yourself professionally at all times.
Essential Experience and Qualifications
- At least 1 year of relevant experience
- Current RSA and RSG statements of attainment
- Ability to obtain a National Police Certificate for employment
- Current Food Handlers Certificate
