Role Overview
An opportunity is available for an experienced Food and Beverage Assistant to join the team. This role suits someone who is comfortable working a variety of shifts, including early starts, late finishes, weekends, and bank holidays.
Main Duties
- Welcome guests warmly, using friendly eye contact and a polite greeting where appropriate.
- Keep the assigned service area neat, organised, and presentable throughout the shift.
- Prepare the station for service by setting tables, replenishing supplies, and getting tea, coffee, and other service items ready.
- Handle crockery, cutlery, and glassware carefully when clearing, polishing, and storing items to reduce breakage and loss.
- Take orders accurately and help drive sales by suggesting suitable products when relevant.
- Deliver service in a courteous, efficient, and professional way at all times.
- Maintain high cleanliness standards across the bar and restaurant areas.
- Address guest concerns professionally and promptly to support a positive experience.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of wines, spirits, and menu offerings.
- Handle complaints discreetly and involve management when the situation requires escalation.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties requested by management.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver food and beverage service in line with the property's agreed standards.
- Provide friendly and efficient guest service throughout each shift.
- Ensure the bar and restaurant remain clean and tidy to a high standard.
- Greet all guests in a welcoming and approachable manner.
- Resolve customer issues professionally while focusing on guest satisfaction.
- Remain flexible for work across early, late, weekend, and bank holiday shifts.
