Role overview
INNIO Waukesha is hiring a Fluid Care Technician to support the maintenance function by managing lubricants, oils, coolants, and related fluid systems used in machining centers and equipment. This role plays an important part in helping the manufacturing team produce high-quality reciprocating gas engines in a safety-focused, collaborative environment.

- The annual salary range for this position is $48,000 to $60,000, based on experience and qualifications.
Key duties
- Help plan and implement the launch and ongoing support of the Machine Shop Reclamation system.
- Receive, store, and organize oils and lubricants in storage areas and point-of-use racks, while keeping min/max stock levels and labels accurate.
- Carry out plant-wide QA/QC checks on coolant and soap concentrations twice each week and record the findings.
- Perform specialized fluid-management tasks for machinery and machining-center equipment.
- Support the operation, maintenance, and QA/QC verification of coolant and soap recycling systems, as well as the RO water unit in the machining area.
- Assist with scheduled filter replacements on equipment such as bag filters, Ranshoff washers, Makino chip blasters, and Makino spindles.
- Track and follow up on CMMS Fiix service requests related to fluid-care activities.
- Work with maintenance staff and outside vendors on equipment overhauls, chip handling, wastewater handling, and scrap metal lugger box pickups and deliveries.
- Help coordinate preventive maintenance for sumps, trenches, and wash systems through CMMS Fiix and third-party CSR reports.
- Prepare service-request and preventive-maintenance documentation in the Fiix maintenance management system.
- Assist with using the sump sucker for machining-center cleanouts and for greasing/lubricating machines and equipment.
- Coordinate targeted QC/QA checks or sampling in other areas such as test cells, boilers, cooling towers, oils, and similar processes.
Qualifications
- Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Able to operate specialized equipment, including a 5,000 lb minimum lift truck, sump sucker, and floor scrubber.
- Background in mechanical assembly, automation and robotics, machine repair, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems.
- Capable of minor troubleshooting and repairs on industrial machines and equipment.
- Hands-on experience with metalworking fluids and coolants.
- Able to use and calibrate refractometers and document readings for ISO 9001 verification.
