Role Overview
This full-time, on-premise Florist position based in Dubai involves crafting floral arrangements for various occasions including weddings, corporate events, and day-to-day orders. The florist's core duties encompass sourcing and readying flowers, maintaining inventory, designing bouquets and centerpieces, and decorating venues in sync with the event management team. Interaction with clients to grasp their preferences, offering expert advice, and ensuring high standards of customer service are key responsibilities. Additional tasks involve assisting with event set-up and dismantling, coordinating with catering and décor departments, and maintaining a tidy workspace.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
- Expertise in floral arrangement and design, capable of producing a wide range of bouquet styles and event floral décor.
- Advanced creativity manifested through color coordination, innovative design ideas, and tailoring floral art to fit diverse event themes.
- Strong customer service aptitude to accurately understand client requirements and provide courteous professional consultations.
- Decorative skills for effectively styling event venues, table settings, and overall ambiance in alignment with event concepts.
- Fundamental knowledge of flower upkeep including proper storage, conditioning, and enhancing flower longevity.
- Physical capability to work on-site, including standing for long durations and managing logistics like lifting and transporting arrangements.
- Excellent organization and time management abilities to handle multiple projects while meeting strict deadlines.
- Previous florist or event décor experience is preferred, alongside certifications or formal training in floral design considered beneficial.
