Role Overview
The Floor Manager plays an instrumental role in maintaining high standards of customer service, sales, and store presentation. As the face of the store, the Floor Manager leads the team by setting an example, embodying the company’s values, and inspiring staff to deliver exceptional experiences that reflect the Tommy Hilfiger and Tommy Jeans brands.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the sales floor to achieve top-tier customer satisfaction, sales targets, and profitability.
- Assist the management team in managing staff, product displays, business operations, and performance outcomes.
- Communicate daily sales targets, key performance metrics, and product updates to team members to drive excellence.
- Conduct brief end-of-shift meetings to review performance, provide feedback, and recognize achievements.
- Implement company best practices related to customer service, store operations, loss prevention, and point-of-sale procedures.
- Meet or exceed personal sales goals, including sales versus budgets, sales per hour, and transaction units.
- Keep the Store Manager informed about competitors, community activities, and other factors influencing the store’s business.
- Encourage staff to cultivate strong relationships with both internal colleagues and customers.
- Manage customer complaints promptly and effectively to ensure satisfaction.
- Analyze store reports and develop action plans to boost performance.
- Provide regular updates to the Store Manager regarding daily store operational matters.
- Assume Manager-on-Duty responsibilities, including managing store openings/closings and floor supervision.
Candidate Profile
- Proven background in supervisory roles within premium or luxury retail brands.
- Experience in people management with skills in conflict resolution and handling unproductive disputes.
- Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships effortlessly.
- Team-oriented mindset that values recognizing and celebrating others’ contributions.
- Confidence in delivering feedback that motivates positive change.
- Adaptability to fast-paced environments and comfort with change.
- Energetic and authentic presence on the shop floor.
