  • Carry out full flight planning work, including route checks, weather review, NOTAM analysis, fuel calculations, alternate airport planning, MEL/CDL evaluation, and performance constraint assessment.

  • Work closely with pilots, OCC staff, and ground teams to share updates on operational changes and developments.
  • Contribute to the resolution of irregular operations within your authority and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Perform dispatch tasks only within the approved operational procedures, systems, and authorization limits set by the company.
  • Escalate disruptions, irregularities, or safety concerns promptly to the Dispatch Manager or the appropriate authority.
  • Coordinate continuously with OCC teams so that operational choices remain aligned with centralized flight control requirements.
  • Support live flight monitoring and pass relevant updates to OCC stakeholders through the established reporting structure.
  • Ensure flight planning outputs remain accurate and consistent by following approved regulatory, operational, and company standards.
  • Assist OCC continuity during shift changes by completing structured handovers and proper documentation.
  • Identify operational inefficiencies, data mismatches, or system-related issues and report them through the defined escalation channels.
  • Maintain compliance with OCC governance, including respect for roles, responsibilities, and decision-making boundaries.

Qualifications and experience

  • A bachelor's degree or diploma in Aviation, Aeronautical Studies, or a similar field is preferred.
  • A valid Flight Dispatcher License recognized or issued by DGCA, or an equivalent authority, is required.
  • Strong capability in independent flight planning and handling irregular operations is expected.
  • This is an individual contributor position with complete responsibility for assigned flights.
  • Decisions must be made independently within regulatory and company frameworks.
  • Hands-on proficiency with flight planning tools, flight monitoring systems, NOTAM systems, weather systems, email, and ACARS is needed.
  • Strong command of English is required.
  • Ability to work in a 24/7 shift-based OCC environment is essential.
  • Prior experience of 3+ years in airline flight dispatch or OCC operations is preferred.
  • Exposure to time-sensitive and disruption-heavy operational situations is advantageous.
