About the Role
Turnkey, a Chicago-based full-service experiential marketing agency partnering with top national brands, is looking for a Fleet & Operations Manager to join their in-office team in Chicago, Illinois. This role plays a vital part in managing the agency’s largest client’s operations and experiential activations.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate as an essential member of the account team for Turnkey's largest client.
- Support over 200 annual activations focused on the transport, installation, and operation of experiential marketing units such as trailers, pods, shipping containers, and custom bars.
- Lead fabrication projects for existing and new experiential units, coordinating with third-party vendors when necessary.
- Oversee maintenance and troubleshooting efforts across 20+ marketing units nationwide by diagnosing issues and coordinating with staff and repair shops.
- Manage budgets related to fabrication, maintenance, shipping, and other production tasks.
- Work closely with internal account teams to ensure timelines, problem-solving, and superior consumer engagement.
- Handle production-related duties including warehousing, shipping logistics, inventory, DOT Compliance, procurement, and vendor relationships.
- Maintain direct and clear communication with key clients and stakeholders to keep them well-informed and confident.
- Identify opportunities for improving account performance and execute enhancements.
- Travel as needed to support activations.
- Assist with additional Turnkey programs as assigned.
Required Experience and Skills
- 5 to 15 years of experience in event production, experiential or mobile marketing, with role title aligning based on expertise.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with a creative approach to problem solving.
- Strong understanding of experiential marketing unit engineering, diagnosing mechanical issues and troubleshooting malfunctions effectively.
- Experience managing brand client relationships, communications, expectations, and timelines.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a proactive manner.
- Knowledge of industry best practices, including DOT Compliance, for experiential and mobile marketing.
- Flexible to work non-traditional hours and meet event or project deadlines.
- Willingness to travel and perform physically demanding work as needed.
