Role Summary
A reputed client in the EV logistics and transport space is looking for a Fleet Operations Manager to supervise field operations across multiple locations in the UAE. This role is focused on vehicle deployment, driver oversight, day-to-day coordination, and operational recordkeeping. The position calls for someone who can keep fleet activities efficient, compliant, and service-focused in a fast-growing green mobility environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the allocation and movement of vehicles across client locations, ports, and terminals.
- Improve fleet usage, reduce idle vehicle time, and keep operations running on schedule.
- Manage driver hiring, training, and performance, including personnel trained for EV operations.
- Keep trip logs, operational paperwork, and expense reconciliation records accurate and up to date.
- Ensure adherence to UAE RTA rules, HSE requirements, and company operating standards.
- Liaise with technical teams on EV performance, charging needs, and maintenance coordination.
- Build and roll out standard operating procedures for fleet and logistics work.
- Guide, motivate, and discipline on-ground teams while reinforcing accountability.
- Assist with business growth efforts, client onboarding, and route planning.
Eligibility
The employer is seeking a candidate with 5 to 15 years of experience in fleet, transport, or logistics operations. Experience in EV operations will be considered an added advantage. The role requires strong capability in fleet planning, GPS/telematics, EV fleet management, cost control, and team leadership. English is mandatory; Hindi is preferred and Arabic is an advantage. A valid UAE driving license is required or preferred. The role may include travel to India.
