About the Role
Miryco Consultants Ltd is collaborating with a reputable international insurance and investment firm located in London, searching for a Fixed Income Investment Analyst to join their collaborative investment team. This role is suited for candidates with approximately 2-4 years of experience in investment or finance who aspire to grow a long-term career in insurance investing. The team comprises roughly ten investment professionals, working closely with senior leaders across the organization.
Role Overview
This position offers a broad, generalist investment role with strong growth potential. Responsibilities include supporting the Chief Investment Officer and investment team with investment analysis, reporting, operational oversight, and governance, while collaborating with finance, treasury, legal, and risk departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with monthly investment performance reports, profit and loss analysis, and budgeting processes.
- Provide analytical and operational assistance across diverse investment projects.
- Create comprehensive investment reports and presentations for internal committees, senior management, and board meetings.
- Maintain and enhance investment dashboards and monitoring tools utilizing systems like Aladdin, Clearwater, and Bloomberg.
- Oversee collateral positions and support ongoing regulatory and investment governance compliance.
- Facilitate onboarding of external investment managers, including due diligence, agreement management, and documentation.
- Monitor performance of external managers and prepare materials for quarterly review sessions.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum two years' experience in investment, asset management, or finance roles.
- Strong passion for building a career in institutional or insurance investing.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Solid grasp of financial markets and investment fundamentals.
- Familiarity with Bloomberg, Clearwater, or Aladdin investment systems is beneficial.
- Advanced skills in Excel and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Interest in leveraging AI and emerging technologies to enhance research, reporting, and operations.
- Knowledge of insurance investment or regulatory frameworks is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Working towards or intending to pursue CFA or similar professional certification.
