Fitter, Welder & Helper - 100 Positions

Job Overview

We are seeking 100 skilled and motivated individuals for the roles of Fitter, Welder, and Helper to join our operations in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Candidates with up to 2 years of experience are preferred.

Fitter Responsibilities

• Assemble and install mechanical components and equipment according to specifications.
• Carry out fitting operations such as drilling, tapping, cutting, grinding, and filing.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments including vernier calipers and micrometers.
• Inspect parts to ensure dimensional accuracy and adherence to quality standards prior to assembly.
• Perform basic maintenance, repairs, and part replacements on mechanical equipment.
• Support senior technicians during machine installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting processes.
• Identify and report defects, equipment malfunctions, and any safety hazards encountered.
• Adhere to standard operating procedures, quality benchmarks, and workplace safety regulations.

Welder Responsibilities

• Conduct welding tasks using methods such as MIG, TIG, ARC (SMAW), or other assigned welding techniques.
• Prepare materials for welding by cutting, grinding, cleaning, and precisely aligning components.
• Configure and safely operate welding machinery and equipment.
• Inspect weld joints for quality control, including strength and dimension conformity.
• Perform finishing processes such as grinding, chipping, and polishing of welds.
• Report any welding defects, equipment problems, or material inconsistencies promptly.
• Comply with welding protocols, quality standards, and safety measures at all times.
• Wear appropriate personal protective gear and ensure safe working conditions.
• Conduct routine maintenance and checks on welding machines.
• Maintain documentation of production activities, meeting deadlines consistently.
• Collaborate effectively with fitters, supervisors, and quality assurance teams to meet production goals.
