Role Overview
As a Fitness and Sports Instructor, you will actively contribute to preparing Canadian Armed Forces members for their critical missions by leading comprehensive Fitness, Sports, and Aquatics programs. Your daily duties will include designing, implementing, and evaluating Tactical fitness sessions aligned with established operational standards, utilizing state-of-the-art technologies and current scientific research.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary diploma or certificate in Physical Education, Exercise Physiology, Exercise Sciences, or a related discipline.
- Valid certifications in CPR and Standard First Aid.
- Current National Lifeguard Service (NLS) certification if applicable.
Experience Required
- Proven background in preparing and leading physical fitness training sessions.
- Experience teaching health and fitness modules.
- Knowledgeable in applying organizational policies and regulations.
- Skilled in evaluating physical fitness levels.
- Hands-on experience in aquatics including lifeguarding or swim instruction.
- Officiating proficiency in at least three sports such as soccer, volleyball, basketball, racquet sports, or hockey.
- Coaching experience in sports.

Language

Additional Details
- Physical requirements include moderate lifting, carrying, pulling, or pushing between 10 lbs (4.5 kg) and 50 lbs (23 kg).
- Completion of Personnel Support Programs Fitness & Sports Levels 1 & 2 during probation period is mandatory.
- Candidates will undergo a physical fitness test (FORCE Evaluation) with a minimum Bronze standard requirement.
- This position is strictly on-site in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan.
Start Date and Compensation
Immediate start preferred. The wage range is CAD 20.58 to 25.98 per hour.
