About the Role
A leading private aviation client is searching for an experienced First Officer to join their operations, involving Bombardier Challenger 604/605 aircraft missions domestically and internationally. The role is Nigeria-based and demands a professional approach with a strong focus on safety, confidentiality, and teamwork.
Key Duties
- Assist the Captain in operating flights safely and efficiently.
- Engage actively in pre-flight planning, preparing the aircraft, and operational briefings.
- Provide support with navigation, radio communications, and flight management activities.
- Contribute to flight planning, aircraft performance calculations, and preparation of essential documents.
- Ensure adherence to aviation regulations, standard procedures, and internal safety standards.
- Monitor aircraft systems and parameters throughout flights.
- Coordinate seamlessly with maintenance, dispatch, ground handling, and other operational partners.
- Maintain robust Crew Resource Management and excellent cockpit coordination.
- Help improve flight safety practices and operational standards continually.
- Practice a high level of professionalism and discretion at all times.
- Protect confidentiality about passengers, schedules, destinations, and operations.
- Remain adaptable and available for international and short-notice flight assignments.
Qualifications and Experience
- Valid ICAO Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) and current Class 1 Medical Certificate.
- Minimum 2,000 total flight hours.
- Bombardier Challenger 604/605 Type Rating preferred; candidates willing and eligible to obtain it will also be considered.
- Previous experience in corporate, private, or business aviation is advantageous.
- Sound knowledge of international flight operations and private aviation procedures.
- Strong technical flying capabilities and excellent crew resource management skills.
- Effective communication, teamwork, and a professional attitude.
- High integrity, discretion, and commitment to confidentiality.
- Dedication to safety and ongoing professional growth.
- Ability to work flexible operational schedules including weekends, public holidays, and short notice assignments.
- Possession of a valid passport and ability to obtain necessary international visas.
- Willingness to be based in Nigeria and travel frequently abroad.
- Successful employment is contingent upon references and background verification.
