Job description
Position overview
Churchlands Senior High School is building a pool of First Aid Officers for permanent and fixed-term vacancies that may come up across the 2026 school year and through to the end of Term 2, 2027. Roles may be offered at any point for positions starting within that window, and both full-time and part-time appointments may be available.
About the school
Churchlands Senior High School offers a structured, safe, and encouraging environment built on respectful interactions between students and staff. The school community values a strong uniform culture and a shared drive for excellence across all areas of school life. Its focus is on personal, social, and environmental responsibility, and it is recognised for strong student achievement in academic, sporting, and cultural pursuits.
The role
The First Aid Officer serves as the main contact for first aid management and administration at the school. The position supports the wellbeing of students, staff, and volunteers by delivering first aid within the officer’s training, experience, Department guidelines, and workplace health and safety requirements.
The role also involves supervising students who are self-administering prescribed medication when this is documented, liaising with parents or guardians to arrange collection of ill or injured students, and staying with students until a parent or guardian arrives. In addition, the officer reports injuries to the Principal, keeps accurate records of all first aid incidents, injuries, and illnesses, and acts as a central coordination point for communication among first aiders.
Selection and training
Full role details, selection criteria, and training requirements are provided in the attached Job Description Form. Applicants should review that document carefully before applying.
